Have You Found Your Voice?

Last week Tuesday, March 4th 2014, WHOI presented at the Mount Saint Vincent University annual Girls Conference. The two-day event, in celebration of International Women’s Week, featured several guest speakers and break-out sessions designed to empower the girls to raise their voices and become engaged in their communities.

WHOI volunteer, Ntombi Nkiwane captured this year’s conference theme “Finding Your Voice,” in her presentation on obstetric fistula. Also present at the conference was WHOI director, Dr. Afua Cooper, who was instrumental in the volunteer effort. Watch the video here:
